Remember Jerry's radio show?
One thing I’m looking forward to in this campaign is what Meg’s campaign finds out about Jerry’s radio show in the 1990s.
Before he re-launched himself into politics, in the 1990s Jerry Brown was an excellent talk show host, one of the few liberals to succeed in what has become a conservative medium. I enjoyed listening to it. Whatever you think of his politics, he has a quirky mind and had interesting guests. I can’t recall anything exactly, except he had on some pretty exotic characters.
No doubt Meg is spending a couple of million digging through old tapes and transcripts of the show for Jerry’s radical views on the issues, and will spring her findings — complete with Jerry’s voice — at the right time. It’ll probably a) hurt him and b) show that he’s a lot more interesting than she is.
