Video: John Lott dissects two gun control fanatics

July 30, 2012

By John Seiler

In the following YouTube, America’s top gun scholar, John Lott, faces off against two gun-control fanatics who hardly let him get in a word edgewise. One is host Piers Morgan, who like a lot of Brit expatriates thinks America would be a fantastic country if it became a lot more like Britain. But Britain today is an Orwellian police-state hellhole.

The other is Alan Dershowitz, the leftist Harvard Law prof, best known for helping O.J. Simpson beat a murder rap. In all his screaming, Dershowitz didn’t note that, if Nicole Brown Simpson had been carrying a handgun when O.J. attacked her with a knife, she would be alive today and O.J. wouldn’t.

And note that Dershowitz wants to take away all our guns. Imagine what a Nazi government would be needed to take more than 300 million guns from Americans.

By the way, you can get Lott’s book, “More Guns, Less Crime,” through Amazon Kindle for just $5.13.

BTW Alan Dershowitz did not help OJ beat anything, in fact he had no role in the trial at all. He would have been brought in on an appeal if OJ lost, since he is an appellate lawyer, but he had nothing at all to do with the trial and OJ’s acquittal.

No one got OJ off except Marcia Clark and Darden, that was the worst murder prosecution I have ever witnessed, it was absolutely pathetic. Putting Furman on the stand, with his background, was the beginning of the end.

BTW, Cochran had Ito’s wife, Captain York, in a perjured lie-if she would have taken the stand it would have been an even bigger disaster for the DA than it was with Furman.

In this interview you see the real Alan DirtForWits. The phoney Ivy League imprimatur falls away and a vicious, snarling, irrational, fascistic reactionary fills the screen. The man no doubt claims to be a civil rights supporter but when it comes to The Second Amendment he’s just another petty Gauleiter. It’s plain from the exchange that neither he nor the slimy limey interlocutor know anything about the sociology or criminology of gun related crime much less the constitutional law or history of gun rights.

I especially detested the way he lashes out at Professor Lott and accuses him without evidence of any kind of being bought and paid for by the NRA. Professor Lott is widely published in peer reviewed criminology and economics journals and has a very impressive curiculum vitae. This is the cheapest and most vile kind of smear job by an Ivy League Joe McCarthy style hypocrite. This is what the disarmament elitists are like in their private lives. It’s very instructive to see the ugliness in public.

If Alan DirtForWits had any sense of decency at all he would publicly apologize for making a jackass of himself and smearing someone for having the courage to add some rationalism and fact based discussion to an emotional topic. Shame on DirtForWits and shame on that unctuous Limey buffoon occupying the Larry King chair at the increasingly unwatched CNN.

Yes, both Morgan and Dershowitz was just being jerks in the interview-not allowing Lott to speak at all. I wa shocked at how well Lott held his cool, I would have taken the ear pieceout and walked off the set after the first 5 minutes…….
