Fiorina celebrated government loans

… and was, apparently, a big fan of Small Business Administration affirmative action. Check out this speech from 2003[1]. It’s funny watching these liberal wealthy Republicans (Carly Fiorina, Steve Poizner and Meg Whitman, for instance) all of sudden discover their inner conservatism now that they seek higher office and need to court dominant conservatives in the GOP primary. A friend of mine heard Fiorina give a speech in her heyday — before she nearly destroyed Hewlett-Packard [2]— and he told me he was shocked by her “I am woman, hear me roar” approach. Apparently, Fiorina frequently uses the gender card to advance her career[3]. It seems as if the state GOP is so irrelevant now that it is becoming dominated by wealthy ego-driven non-politician candidates who can fund their own campaigns, but offer little in the way of ideas or leadership.
