Curtis Walker----Everyone seems to have and has the right to an opinion. When you physically are not able to work or even cut your own grass and still can not get gov't aid and you have worked your whole life, paid taxes, FICA, etc. BS. Gov't aid is for only a select few. If there are loop holes I either do not know them or am to honest to abuse them.
Easy to throw rocks and stones when you are working.
Do you really think unemployed people do not pay taxes???? If you really think that you need to read a little or go out into the real world my friend.
The state will not give me anything because I own something and the Feds just keep sending me more paper work to fill out. As much as I hate to its almost time to hire an attorney for this crap.
I can not sleep and close to not paying my bills.

Thank you for the very detailed and what could be an almost impossible accounting of the unemployed.

Are those CA folks who are not working because they are temporarily disabled (may or may not be collecting CA Disability Insurance or Voluntary Plan benefits? They may or may not have a job to return to so where would you factor in those folks (and it can be a large number)?

Depending on the number of folks collecting disability the rate could be kicked up several more points, like 30%, right?

No doubt there are plenty of loopholes in calculating employment statistics. One is that each new real estate license issued by the Department of Real Estate is counted as a new job created. Obviously, that inflates job growth data; many with licenses earn little or nothing in the real estate business.
