Wow fraudsquad, your a little off target there. You normally blurt out irrelevant & false garbage, but that one is not even relevant to the fact that Professor Lewis has exposed all of the fraud & corruption that is driving these job killing regulations.

The fact that you are blabbering about a $40,000 research grant is laughable. $40K? So they paid for someone to design the graphics for the cover page of the report. How about you compare that to the amount of money that your bosses have invested in garbage studies & publicity in order to benefit financially.

You are a joke. Did the Maviglio-Steyer House of Lies provide you with flashcards of irrelevant information to utilize when you need to deflect attention from truthful articles that may derail their gravy train?

You really want to talk about corruption? Look no further than your Idol Mary Nichols and CARB's repeated "Margin of Error" in excess of 100%-300%+ for their "Scientific Studies". Or is that just and innocent mistake... that keeps happening over & over... but for some reason that research is still used to push regulations that are not needed. But there was no corruption there right fraudsquad?

Climate change is something that happens constantly on its own. Mankind cannot control the earth’s climate, and a miniscule reduction of carbon dioxide will not stop global warming.

Earth’s climate and atmosphere have varied greatly over geological time. The Earth warms up and cools down in 100,000 year cycles. Our planet has mostly been much hotter and humid than today, with far more carbon dioxide (CO2) than today. Earth’s atmosphere now contains about 380 ppm CO2 (0.038%). Compared to former geological times, our present atmosphere is CO2 impoverished. In the last 600 million years of the Earth’s history only one other geological period witnessed CO2 levels less than 400 ppm, and temperatures as low as today. To the consternation of global warming proponents, the late Ordovician Period 550 million ago was also an Ice Age while at the same time CO2 concentrations were nearly 12 times higher than today, 4400 ppm. According to the greenhouse theory, it should have been exceedingly hot. Instead, global temperatures were no warmer than today. Clearly, other factors, such as coincidence of the Sun’s solar maximums and cyclic variations of the Earth’s orbit around the sun are responsible for warm but temporary periods other than atmospheric carbon influence. Proposition 23 should have been designed to kill AB32, not delay it. The Earth’s climate cannot be controlled. And the sad part of AB32 is that it is a farce, perpetrated by those who will benefit financially from it, presented to a people basically ignorant of historical geology.

I am on of 31,487 scientists, a Geological Engineer for over a half century, who petitioned the government to reject the global warming agreement. Further, in 1977 I was Chief of the Special Programs Unit at McClellan AFB, CA involved in tasks supporting Missile and Space Programs, and Satellite Communications Systems. We were responsible for maintenance of ground receiver stations for polar earth orbiting weather observation satellites, part of the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program. The weather information, pictures and other classified information are provided to Department of Defense.

Vote yes on Proposition 23, AB 32 is definitely a scam.

Perhaps you should share with your readers that the Pacific Research Institute received a $40,000 "research grant" for its "study" from the oil companies behind Prop 23. It is listed on the Secretary of State's website, yet PRI didn't disclose that in its study.

Hi Wayne,
Good article, note: the url associated with "Anthony Watts, a meteorologist, states on his blog" should be http://wattsupwiththat.com/

There's a lot more to AB32 than meets the eye. A review of the approved 2008 California
Climate Change Scoping Plan indicates it was crafted and enacted before the facts were known.

They simply need to strip out the Cap and Trade and reliance on GHG assumptions from AB32 and its potentially a piece of leadership legislation for other states. Sustainability, Clean Energy, and Stewardship are great goals but not at the expense of Common Sense.

AB 32 needs to be amended to eliminate the Cap and Trade provision 70% of America Opposes, eliminate the reliance on flawed GHG assumptions, eliminate the unnecessary Fees and costly oversight, corrected to tighten the scope so it doesn't introduce Environmental Red Tape that will do more damage than good, and make non-governmental agencies like CARB accountable to taxpayers.

AB 32 needs to be amended or Voting YES on Prop 23 makes the most sense to me.
