Jesus steveo, the same thing every time.

"ooooh so you says its bad that murders cut people with knives, but when doctors cut people during operations, it just fine. HYPOCRISY!"

You try to lump people together into groups so you can deflect attentions away from the corruption & problems caused by the people you like. Just because people think Thomas Steyer is a corrupt scumbag, does not mean that those same people supported Enron or Bernie Madoff. Hell, most people had no idea who Madoff was, so how could we have supported him or his actions? Or is making those 6-degrees of separation links the only way to you make a feeble attempt to defend the dispicable actions of people like Thomas Steyer?

Have you ever started & ended a conversation while still on the same subject or is every encounter with steveo a trip down a rabbit hole?

Funny, when the Goldman Sachs and Bernie Madoffs of the world screw millions of Americans with 401(k)s, that's OK, because it's just the free enterprise system at work. But because Steyer is opposing Prop 23, he's just horrible. Where the hell were y'all when other hedge fund exploiters were reaping a windfall in energy and other stocks at the expense of millions of had-working Americans? Talk about hypocrisy!

If I understand this exposé correctly, Democrat Tom Steyer contributed $5 million to defeat Prop 23 and runs Farallon Investments which is an external fund manager for CalPERS. So in effect, Steyer indirectly used his profits from the CalPERS pension fund to donate money to the No on 23 campaign. Do I have that right?
And further Steyer was one of the external fund managers that contributed to CalPERS losing billions in bad real estate investments from the real estate meltdown. Is Steyer now trying to protect any energy investments in his funds managed for CalPERS to keep from further losses? Or are Mr. Steyer's hedge funds poised to reap a windfall in oil, gas, and coal energy stocks if Prop 23 is defeated? I wonder if he holds any options or hedges that would benefit him if Prop 23 is defeated?
Do campaign contributors who are also fund managers for state pension funds have to file public disclosures of any conflicts of interest when they donate to election campaigns? If not, why not?
Here in Pasadena bus stops have posters saying "Stop Dirty Coal Power" - No on Prop 23" apparently funded by Mr. Steyer's donation. What hypocrisy.
