John Seiler:
With the defeat of Prop. 23, the 2006 Global Warming Solutions Act[1] will be imposed with full force in California. As the title suggests, it’s supposed to reduce the supposed threat of global warming (supposedly).
In Cancun, anti-global warming backers right now are meeting and found a new way to advance AB 32 and other global-warming plans: worhip the Mayan goddess Ixchel. Reports The Washington Pos[2]t:
Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, invoked the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel in her opening statement to delegates gathered in Cancun, Mexico, noting that Ixchel was not only goddess of the moon, but also “the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you — because today, you are gathered in Cancun to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools.”
She called for “a balanced outcome” which would marry financial and emissions commitments from industrialized countries aimed at combating climate change with “the understanding of fairness that will guide long-term mitigation efforts.”
“Excellencies, the goddess Ixchel would probably tell you that a tapestry is the result of the skilful interlacing of many threads,” said Figueres…. “I am convinced that 20 years from now, we will admire the policy tapestry that you have woven together and think back fondly to Cancun and the inspiration of Ixchel.”
[3]Typically, the politically correct Post, voice of the federal government establishment, didn’t note that the Mayan religion’s main feature is human sacrifices. Here’s a description[4]:
During this Mayan festival in the honor of Ixchel: the goddess of the Moon, beehives, fertility, medicine and weaving, a beautiful young woman was chosen by craftsmen and artisans to represent the goddess. This young woman was sacrificed by the priests and flayed.
Notes Wikipedia[5]:
But mounting archeological evidence has for many decades now supported the chroniclers’ contention that human sacrifice was far from unknown in Maya society.[9][6][10][7] The city of Chichen Itza, the main focus of Maya regional power from the Late Classical period, appears to have also been a major focus of human sacrifice.
Now it’s official: the “global warming” hoax is about human sacrifice. By killing off a large part of the human species, there will be less industry, oil drilling, pollution and global warming.
And the opening sacrifices are right here in California.
