Did you really think this was about fuel efficiency or becoming greener??? This is and always has been about increasing government revenues and power. They are going to milk the American public’s ignorance as long as they can. And when this fraud implodes they will have another one to extract money from your pocket. Maybe they will use the tried and true “tax the rich” ploy hoping you don’t notice that somehow the middle class always pays those taxes. With any luck they will be able to get the last dollar from the last middle class person before the citizens wake up.
