David, What is it that you think is so great about Texas? I just heard last week that Texas received over 90 million US stimulous-plan dollars–enough cover most of its budget at the time. Then, you see and hear all of this vitriol against any bailouts for the State of CA, the world’s 8th largest economy. What gives? Texas prepares its budgets for two years, and it is currently facing a 25 billion dollar deficit.

Give me Cali any day, over Texas.

I give John Seiler credit the for best use of a Mao reference, but clearly the above quote is tops in journalism.

We need to make CA more like Texas without the bugs, heat, humidity and 7-11’s.
