I guess you’d have to also include the counties from Colusa to Siskiyou County. A very different culture than the Bay Area. There’s also the “state of Jefferson” around the Oregon border that has contemplated secession from California in the past.

Good post, Bob! But I think Interstate 5 should be the dividing line. Nearly all counties west of I-5 are “blue” and nearly all counties east of I-5, including those in the Sierra foothills southeast of Sacramento, are red. Ditto Kern County, which is split by I-5 and Hwy. 99.

Hey Mr. Potato Head, the voters have voted down numerous tax increases in the recent past, including the one you propose.

To Brown and the Demoncrats, freedom is taking other peoples money.

“If GOP leaders are opposed to cuts, then what else is left other than higher taxes?”

How about succession? How about every county north of Sacramento county succeed from California? Virtually all these counties are “red” counties and don’t agree at all with the agenda of the Democrats. I’m sure if Brown truly believes in what he said about democracy tonight he won’t mind at all.
