SEIU Rewards Nestande With Cash

Steven Greenhut: Assemblyman Brian Nestande, the Palm Desert Republican who recently attended a “no more cuts” rally sponsored by the Service Employees International Union as part of its efforts to stop cuts to the In Home Supportive Services program, has been rewarded by the union for his decision to undermine Republican budget-control efforts. Nestande, the top lieutenant to Assembly Minority Leader Connie Conway, just received a $7,800 donation from SEIU for his 2012 Assembly race, according to Election track[1]. Apparently, it pays to sell out the Republican caucus on behalf of public-sector unions. Conway should find a new lieutenant.
