And they have a nice little side business that the state seems unable to stop because of this “walk time” in which they bring pay-as-you-go cell phones into the prison and sell them to the prisoners! That’s how Charlie Manson got a phone – and the gang-bangers in Corcoran can go right on running their gangs from inside the prison! The state can’t do anything about it because they’d have to screen the guards in a metal detector or do a pat-down, and that would cost more because it would add to the “walk time.” Sweet deal, huh? Imagine being allowed to bring in contraband to people you’re supposed to be guarding and no one can do anything. Estimates are it brought in another 1.5 million to guards in UNREPORTED income.
