The Tax Foundation study gives California low rankings since 2006.

Is it not surprising that California’s unemployment rate is 2nd worse in the nation (only Nevada’s is higher)?

Because government revenues depend on private-sector employment, investment, and spending, is it not surprising that California’s tax revenues are down and California is facing budget deficits and cuts?

I’m a forth-generation Californian and I love the state. However, just in the difference in state taxes between here and Texas, I could afford two weeks in a beach-side luxury resort every year, soaking up all that California gold.
