How about a requirement to post a $50,000 bond to introduce any legislation along with posting the source of funds. It the legislature acts on the proposed bill (out to the floor) then the $50,000 goes to the treasury.

We definitely need to push for a part-time legislature. Secondly, Californians must put the legislators and Governor's feet to the fire because come June 1st, we will be defaulting on our debt interest payment. Governor Brown, our union owned governor, must get serious about his budget proposal - he is off to a good start, but deeper slashes need to be made, move to eliminate program redundancies including fringe legislation such as mentioned above, and most of all - no more taxes. Most of the taxpayers in California have enough common sense to know what needs to be done. These idiots take trips to Texas to see where all their businesses/jobs have gone and why. Their corruption and incompentence is astounding!!!! Our State's entire economy is on the brink of disaster, this state is in a crisis, and they are introducing crazy bills and doing everything except addressing the looming crisis. It is almost as if it is all deliberate attempt to make California the first domino to fall, taking the rest of the USA with it!

We need a part-time legislature, meet only 6 months every 2 years - that might help.

And now look at all the AB 32 fleecers coming out of the woodwork wanting to get in on the cap and trade larceny.

Are we seeing the final product of cultural Marxism from the Frankfurt School of Social Research, right into the California legislature? Or are they just a bunch of greeny thugs?

What a joke. These people are crazy. They already passed their precious AB32, which gives them power over every aspect of our lives, all for the sake of their "Green" religion, why the hell are they wasting our time & money pushing more redundant "Green" regulations.

Limit these scumbags to 2 regulation proposals per session and ban Legislators from accepting bills written by outside sources, then the problem is solved. If they are limited to 2, they will be much more selective with the proposals they make, which will eliminate 95% of the moronic crap they are pushing now. I believe we had somewhere areound 700 new laws go into effect on January 1, 2011, and I would be willing to bet that maybe only 10 were needed, if that. These people are out of control and they need to be reigned in soon.
