Enquirer: Arnold Guards Covered Up

[1]John Seiler:

Arnold’s past finally is catching up with him. The latest comes from the National Enquirer. Sure, the tabloid doesn’t exactly have the most sterling reputation. On the other hand, they’re the ones who got the goods on John Edwards[2], the Democrats’ 2004 vice-presidential nominee, who had his own “love child.”

Because of the Enquirer inquiry, reports today’s Washington Post[3]:

John Edwards, the former North Carolina senator and two-time Democratic presidential candidate, may soon face federal campaign-finance charges stemming from an admitted affair with a former campaign aide, according to several news organizations.

Justice Department prosecutors have been investigating whether Edwards funneled money from political donors to Rielle Hunter, his mistress and the mother of his youngest child, to try to cover up the affair.

Before I quote from the Enquirer, here’s the rebuttal from Arnold’s lawyer, as quoted on Etonline.com[4]:

Schwarzenegger’s attorney, Martin Singer, calls the Enquirer story “completely false.” Singer tells ET, “Today’s story from The National Enquirer is totally and completely false. Unfortunately, the media’s relentless desire for new information has some outlets running stories that are made up by paying sources that have zero credibility. My client stated from the beginning that he takes full responsibility for his actions and deserves the public and media criticism. This does not entitle some in the media to be totally irresponsible.”

Now, here’s what the Enquirer is reporting on Arnold[5]:

In a bombshell ENQUIRER world exclusive hitting newsstands beginning today, a former security supervisor who regularly helped guard ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER while he was California governor claims the ex-actor used his state-funded security detail to cover up multiple sexual liaisons.

Veteran law enforcement officer WILLIAM TAYLOR – who passed a polygraph test about his claims – has accused the “Governator” of using California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers and vehicles to ferry scantily-clad women in-and-out of his suite at the Sacramento hotel where he often stayed.

The explosive charges – coming in the wake of the “True Lies” star’s stunning admission that he fathered a love child while married to Maria Shriver – could trigger a criminal investigation of whether Schwarzenegger illegally used taxpayers’ dollars to cover up extramarital affairs.

“It makes me very angry just to think of what was going on at that time,” said Taylor, who revealed that it was common knowledge among CHP officers, security personnel and employees at the Sacramento Hyatt Regency, where Schwarzenegger and his family often occupied a wing of the hotel.

Taylor, who was head of security at the hotel, says the scandal never became public because the “Terminator” star – who served as Calif. Governor from Nov. 2003 until Jan. 2011 – bullied everyone on the hotel staff into silence.

He was so intimidating to the Hyatt workers that he forbade them to make eye contact with him, Taylor said.

‘Defraud Taxpayers’

The rest of the story is in the Enquirer’s print edition. But the UK Mail [6]has additional details:

Mr Taylor, who was head of security at the hotel, said: ‘It makes me very angry just to think about what was going on at that time.

“On three different occasions after the governor arrived alone at the Hyatt regency, CHP Dignitary Protection Services arrived in their official vehicles  — black Ford Crown Sedans — about one to two hours later with one or two young female adults.

“They’d hurriedly escort the women through the service entrance on the second floor parking garage to the elevator that went to the governor’s private wing.

“The women looked between 18 to 25 years old, blonde and scantily dressed in club wear.”

He told the Enquirer that the women would usually stay two to four hours and either leave through the hotel’s main entrance or be driven away by the CHP in the same official vehicles.

He also claimed that two members of staff at the Hyatt were sacked simply because they made eye contact with the star. After that he said, no one dared utter a word about his secret trysts.

“After that the intimidation was complete. other than talking about it among ourselves, no one said anything for fear of losing our jobs,” he said….

Mr Taylor said he has come forward because he is furious at how the actor – who was governor of California from November 2003 until January 2011 – used him, the hotel security team and the CHP to defraud taxpayers and make a mockery of his family.

He said: “I’m glad the truth about this guy has finally come out, and I am sure I am not the only one who believes he deserves what happens to him.”

Get that? “Defraud taxpayers.” Well, now we know why Arnold increased taxes.

It looks like the state also could be sued because its governor forced the wrongful termination of private employees. I wonder what the tax bill will be for that. This guy is going to be costing California taxpayers for decades.

Extend Arnold’s Tax Increases?

Moreover, for Gov. Jerry Brown to demand that Arnold’s 2009 tax increases be extended is to perpetuate the deceitful policies of Arnold’s regime of malfeasance and intimidation.

Arnold reportedly has suspended[7] working on sequels to some of his movies, “Kindergarten Kop,” “Total Recall” and the “Terminator” series.

At this rate, the only sequel he’s going to make is of “Jailhouse Rock[8].”
