I have just recently had a shocking encounter with CIRM. As a CA owned small biotech consulting company, we are uniquely posed to conduct high quality Stem Cell Research and we have been named on several CA CIRM research grants. As we have continued moving forward with these interactions, we have encountered lying, bad faith, confidentialty breaches and other highly unprofessional activity. CIRM has no intention whatsoever to support CA business. Our company and our legal council have been unable to make any headway with CIRM at all. I would appreciate some help and advice.

Yup, couldn’t use his own wealth but had to plunder the taxpayer. Same old song and dance.

“California’s stem cell agency is practically off limits to oversight from the legislature. It has also become a landing spot for politicians such as former state senator Art Torres, who pulls down a salary of $225,000, which CIRM tripled from the original $75,000. Chairman Robert Klein II, who wrote Prop 71 to give himself that job, did not take a salary until 2008, when he began to draw an annual salary of $150,000.”

Yup, it’s where former politicians and other assorted liars and thieves go so they can continue to live off the taxpayer.

Reading things like this makes me pull my hair out! It just drives me crazy.

Why the d @mn voters were stupid enough to pass the bond measure in the first place is beyond me.

Can’t they see the state is a gang of thieves???
