3/50 - nice if you can get it.

Nicer still - if anyone can afford to pay for it.

Who should suffer - so we can keep it?

Is: Greed good?

And is an Excessively Fat & Extremely unrealistic Retirement Scheme an entitlement?

Culprit - Bill Lockyer - Professional Politician, Lawyer, & personal Benificary of his own Retirement Scheme.

The scheme cuts deeply into others needs - "ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL" - is the essence of it.

It also establishes extremely UNREALISTIC expectations for Retirement Compensation.

How is killing the Golden Egg Laying Goose, for some temporary comfort, ultimately good for anyone?

Please clarify.

I will never understand the mind of someone who looks at 2 people, one of whom has a good job and a pension, and one of whom doesn't, and decides the problem is that the first person is too secure, and needs to be knocked down. Why can't we have a country where both of them have jobs and pensions? We can, except for the power of the extreme wealthy elite, whose dominance is increased by pushing everyone else down. They fund the Republicans, they lie through Fox News, they demand more tax cuts, they refuse to be part of a society that aims for the good of all. They attack working people for having a decent life, but if anyone points out that tax rates on the elite are the lowest in 50 years, they scream "class warfare." It's time to put the energy into making everyone better off, instead of making everyone worse off.

That's it. Muddy the water by mixing issues of corruption with public pension policy. Now, all public retirees will be corrupt as well. I don't really know how it works up in the North but down here in the Real OC, we have been working to reform pensions without trying to rake public employees over the coals. Well, except in Costa Meda...
