I’m a sole practioner lawyer and am mostly retired. I gross less than $100,000 – $65,000 or less for the years the BOE told me I was delinquent. It is false that the threshhold is $100,000; it’s anyone in business the BOE can locate. I just filled out the form and paid nothing as I buy nothing out of state for my small practice.

Anyone that thinks state regulation is a good thing should try to run a small business for a year and then reevaluate.

I am now a partner in a small corporation. We have an outside bookkeeper, accountant, employee relation consultant, and lawyer who all contribute to keeping us in compliance. This is manageable but expensive.

Prior to this I had my own smaller corporation in which I foolishly attempted to manage all the compliance issues myself. I had little time for my primary business and decided life was too short to run a small business in CA.

My wife sells Mary Kay. She pays state tax on every item she buys from Mary Kay who has a distribution center in Cypress.

Democrats have to be the most ill informed people on the planet. THIS is STUPID but to them if you can take someone elses money your a hero, I think they are running out of victims.
