So if all politicians are corrupt, how do people find and elect genuine public servants. Remember, a lot of good, good people would love to run but choose not to because of such critical scrutiny which could possibly ruin ones career or personal relationships. This is a huge problem!

Bob Huff is just another lying, thieving, criminal as are virtually all politicians.

Expecting honesty and integrity from a politician is like expecting chastity from Ahnode Schwarzencrooked.

The CA GOP is weak at best and truly unable to court more constituents including hispanics which make up about 36% of the population. It is anecdotal stories like these that will continue to scar the party. The only solutions I see is to break up the stronghold the Ds have on the state but replace them with true fiscal conservatives. Not cronyism!

Why would you be surprised by republican behavior any more than you would be surprised by democrat behavior?? All of them are cut from the same cloth. It wasn't long ago when an overwhelming majority of the republican state legislators confirmed Abel Maldonado as the Lt. Governor under Schwarzenegger. That was the same Abel Maldonado who stabbed his conservative republican constituents in the back when he voted for the huge state tax increase in Feb-2009 after he signed a 'no new tax pledge' while campaigning for office. He took their votes and took their money - then stabbed them all in the back when termed out. And the republican legislature confirmed him as Lt. Governor after the fact. So why would Huff be an anomaly?

"But it’s Jose’s Muffler Shop and Maria’s Taco Stand that are most likely to be seized by eminent domain, with inadequate compensation paid to Jose and Maria, and given to wealthy Anglo developers. As with all waves of immigrants who have come to this country, commonly Latinos start out with small businesses"

Oh stop with the race baiting. You have no proof that eminent domain targets hispanics or that rich white developers conspire to screw certain races. I really expect more from this website.
