Poor StevefromSacto, it appears you only believe that you can survive with other people’s money given to you involuntarily. You can provide a service or good and people will pay you for it. You don’t need tax money to survive. Think about it. People will pay for something they want or need. The key to prosperity is to allow freedom of action, and yes that includes prohibiting the control of labor and resource markets by monopolists, oligarchies, and abusive governments.

Sorry, Im not holding out any hope with the ca gop! The democrats have gained more registrations since 2008 with less and less republicans. (They are moving to states like Texas.) The state is financially imploding and most democrats ignorantly believe raising taxes is the answer. The state gop needs an infusion of reality to understand that they need a new strategy and outside sources to bring the state back to fiscal sanity! This place is a disaster!

As to “Grover” (Norquist), he has little influence here. The GOP would have voted against tax increases no matter what. And just wait till this November, when voters turn down Jerry’s tax increase.Even in this far-left state, voters know that the money only would go to the bloated pensions of retired government workers.

As to the “Tea Baggers” — Tea Partiers — they have almost no influence in California, as was noted my many commentators after the November 2010 election.

CA GOP Going to Elephant Graveyard?

CA GOP attacks moderate Republicans as “traitors,” refuses to work with Democrats, votes in lockstep with Grover and the Tea Baggers. And they wonder why voters won’t support them.

Will they ever learn that in California elections, just as in national elections, it is moderates and independents, not the right- or left-wing base that decides who wins?

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
