If this went down the way you say it did I find it practically incomprehensible that some guy who just deboarded an LAX arrival from overseas could tweet his buddies back in England with some off-the-wall, non-descript message and maybe 30 minutes later get yanked out of line and arrested for what he tweeted as he cleared customs. There must be millions of tweets that are sent hourly throughout the United States. How could they possibly intercept this guy's tweet, identify him, determine that he was in the process of clearing customs at LAX, put his information into the US Custom's watch system, and arrest him? Anyone who knows anything about how government operations would tell you that the government not nearly that efficient.

I do not question whether we live under a tyrannical government. The banking crisis of 2007 and what happened afterwards confirms that for me. I question whether the events of this story went down as reported.

"Why would Homeland Security allow a person who they considered to be a potential threat to board an aircraft bound for America in the first place?"

Answer: The couple didn't Tweet until they were in America. Then they Tweeted about Hollywood. And they weren't a threat. The morons at Homeland Security -- an unconstitutional, Stalinist department -- don't know that British English is different from American English. And why were they spying on Twitter? The U.S. government is a tyranny. Face it.

He sent the tweet prior to boarding the departing aircraft in England, right? Why would Homeland Security allow a person who they considered to be a potential threat to board an aircraft bound for America in the first place? No doubt the British government would have cooperated with American officials working out of Heathrow, or wherever.

But ya gotta figure if the guy was going to visit CA and spend his time in Hollywood he's not wrapped too tight to start with.
