"If WS is so bad, why do pension funds continue to send money to WS?"

Because most of the pension fund managers are former Wall Street hedge fund goons. That's why.

Playing the stock market is like walking into a rigged casino and slapping down a couple James Madisons on the blackjack table. The reason the pension fund managers do it is because they are under the gun to hit a 7.5% return. If they miss that 7.5% return for 2-3 years straight they're out of job. Treasuries and fixed interest securities pay squat unless you want to roll the dice and invest in Greek bonds. What would you do if your job depended on a 7.5% return and treasuries were paying 1% interest, SocialismFail?

"Where’s your outrage at pension funds investing in WS, beelzebub?"

See, I'm not 6 years old and you can't back me into that corner, SocialismFail. My hate is divided equally between Wall Street and the pension funds. Nothing's black and white with me. I don't subscribe to your political partisanship. I'm a political athiest. I don't lick anybody's boots. With all the information available that DOCUMENTS BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT all the corruption and fraud on Wall Street I find it deplorable that any of you could give Wall Street a pass or discount the $trillions$ in damage that they have done to the US and global economies!!! Shame on all of you. You are promoting criminality!!!

The DJIA and S&P are back to 2008 levels so the equity market is now not a factor in the pension problems

The entire stock market is a bubble built on zero interest rates. Take Bernanke an dhis fraud out of the piucture and the DJIA would eb at 6K. It is wildly over priced based on historical P/E ratios, you cannot deny that.

Public pensions were raised 50% retroactively with SB400, while the pension ages were dropped 20%, because CalTURDS made FRAUDULENT misrepresentations that the DJIA would never have another bear market and would pay for the $1-$10 million pensions of 50 year old GED educated cops and firewhiners who were receiving 5%-9% annual raises and had top salaries of $100K-$250K before any OT was added in.

I think a member muni of CalTURDS could sue CalTURDS fanny off AND WIN for fraud over SB400

Beelzebub said: "Where exactly is the accountability on Wall Street???"

If WS is so bad, why do pension funds continue to send money to WS? Why don't pension funds invest solely in government debt, as SS is forced to do?

Unions lobbied to be able to invest in WS. They go what they asked for.

Where's your outrage at pension funds investing in WS, beelzebub?

"Since 99.99% of workers dont work at Wall St, it is a specious argument. And how is “Wall St” (or regular private sector workers like responsible for the 3 Trillion in unfunded pensions"

You're missing my point, Art. I am not defending nor have I ever defended the exhorbitant public pensions nor have I ever blamed Wall Street or the private sector for the pensions given to the public greedmongers. In fact, I think ALL public workers should be limited to 401-k's - no defined retirement benefits whatsoever - to include the pseudo-hero cops and firemen.

You see, you Wall Street apologists always make this an 'either/or' argument. In your minds there are only two possible avenues of thought. Either we are FOR public pensions and AGAINST Wall Street - or FOR Wall Street and AGAINST public pensions.

In my case I despise BOTH Wall Street AND the public pensions. I hope that concept doesn't sprain your brain, Art.

That small proportion of Wall Street crooks that you referenced were responsible for the collapse of the global economy and sucked $TRILLIONS$ of dollars from ordinary, decent citizens who work on Main Street, Art. Apparently you don't read or analyze the news and aren't aware. Your friends on Wall Street committed heinous acts of criminal financial fraud that stole millions of jobs and ruined millions of financial lives. It was a planned, concerted effort of government and Wall Street to rob innocent citizens. And that's the truth.

"The DJIA and S&P are back to 2008 levels so the equity market is now not a factor in the pension problems"

Get outta here. The stock market is a rigged, crooked casino. Without ZIRP (zero interest rate policy), huge federal debtloads, massive Wall Street bailouts and Quantitative Easing (money printing and backdoor bailouts for the banks)your Dow Jones Industrial Average would be 6500 today.

The stock market doesn't represent economic growth anymore. It represents backdoor deals between government and the crooked corporate crime bosses.

And sooner or later it plunges again.

“I’m not saying that there isn’t greed and wrongdoing in the private sector, but there’s far more accountability in that sector than in government, where there’s no competition and unions get to bully legislators”. Where exactly is the accountability on Wall Street???

"Murder #1"

No way, rex. They'll spin this like they do all the others. But those 2 girls are witnesses and are certainly old enough to give the truthful version of the events as they happened. I really feel sorry for those kids. Imagine sitting in the back seat and watching your dad take a cop's bullet through the head or the neck??? Those kids will suffer from nightmares and psychological trauma for the rest of their lives. Had that deceased marine been alone in his car the story would have been that he threatened the cop and reached toward his waistband. And I bet you a dime to a donut that both the dashcam and the audio recorder mysteriously malfunctioned and were inoperable at the time of the incident. Oh, and the cop was doing his reports in the pitch black high school parking lot @ 4:30am??? Really? They should check the time code on the computer to determine whether he was actually working on his reports that morning. My guess is that he was snoozing.

I read in the news that in San Clemente some trigger-happy OC sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a decorated marine sargeant while seated in his SUV with his 2 daughters, age 9 and 14

Then you also read how the GED Sheriffs story has changed multiple times within the first 24 hours.

First he was in fear of HIS life, then it changed to in fear of the children's lives.

Second-The marine was unarmed, no alcohol, no drugs and was shot walking away and had committed no crime and there is no evidence to support the GED cops claim the children were in dnager. Murder #1.
