The "progressive/liberal" wing of the democrat party seems to be taken over by corey booker, maxine waters and Black Lives Matter.
In their extreme desperation they have begun to talk like street thugs and and condone and promote violence AGAINST THOSE WHO THINK DIFFERENTLY THAN THEY DO.
They are displaying the secret, vile, nasty underbelly of the desperate, subversive, unAmerican democrat party.

Hopefully the sane, thoughtful democrat's will rise uo and out a stop to the unAmerican bovine excrement!!!!!!

jimmydeeoc,

At the start of the riots I was in SC on business. It was frightening. The cops actually retreated. Businesses were being looted and burned with people getting assaulted on the streets and the cops wouldn't even go in there. Darryl Gates ordered LAPD to 'stand down' and basically retreat from the mayhem. That's why I will never ever trust the cops to protect me when SHTF. I learned a big big lesson that day.

I am with you, Beelzebub.

And the real jaw dropper, the stunner of all stunners, wasn't even so much her use of the phrase "uprising" (though that was bad enough).....

She actually led a group of people assembled at her news conference in a chant of "No Justice, No Peace". This while fires and looting were still swirling throughout L.A., mind you. If nothing else, a tacit approval of the rioting.

Twenty years later, I still remember it, and am still shocked. A sitting House member.........Unthinkable.....Incomprehensible.....

At the risk of sounding sappy, I recall watching Waters' performance on TV that day and feeling very sad for my country.

Yep, after the LA riots and stimulous spending and hiring quotas I remember reading about an LA post office that only hired blacks, having over 100 employees, if memory serves. Now there's a quota for you.

"There is, or at least once was, different standards of conduct between the two. I still recall hearing Waters during the ’92 riots, and my jaw dropped. Waters has lowered the bar, and we are all the worse for it"

Yep. You're absolutely correct, jimmydeeoc. Maxine was an apologist for all the torchers, looters and murderers during the '92 riots. In fact, I believe she was the one who coined the politically correct term "uprising" in place of 'riot'. I could be wrong. But I think it was her.

But as we have learned over the decades, mayhem and disorder gets rewarded bigtime in America. After the '92 riots $billions$ in capital investment poured into South Central and new employment quotas were established for both minority workers and minority contractors. So it worked. While we can't condone mayhem one can't deny about the results it brings.

Fast forward to 2012 and look how we've rewarded financial fraud, avarice, self-indulgence and criminality while punishing obedience, self-sufficiency and hard honest work.

I guess it's just the American way. ;)

I might also point out that Bolling is TV commentator. The atrocious and vile Ms Waters, on the other hand, is a sitting House member.

What ever happened with the congressional ethics investigation on Maxine? As I recall, she helped arrange a big bailout for a local bank which had significant financial ties with her husband. It seems that all the sudden that investigation went silent. Perhaps Maxine donated a few thousand to the House of Rep's slush fund to make it go away.

But at least Maxine was investigated. I remember when Diane Feinturd who has never sat on a financial committee proposed a big taxpayer bailout for the FDIC that got approved. Shortly thereafter, the FDIC appointed her husband to manage home foreclosures in the western region. :D. No investigation whatsover. Of course, Feinturd's good friend Babs Boxer was the chair of the Senate Ethics Committee at that time too. :D Nice to have friends in high places, eh???
