Regarding the Climate Change issue, I find it interesting to read Burt Rutan’s analysis of this issue,

who he admits is not a Climatologist, but a engineer who has spent 45 years doing data analysis/interpretation/presentation and how he systematically destroys all arguments in favor of the IPCC predictions making any sense. For those who have not seen the first link presentation, pay particular attention to slides 5, 6, 9, 10, 21, 26, 27, 64, 38, 55, 57, 58, 62, 71, 72, 75, 79, 80, 82, and 83. Now one can easily see why Mr. Rutan turns the “denier” argument/discussion on it’s ear, when he labels an Alarmist as:
“The Alarmist (Scientist, Journalist, Politician, etc.) chooses to huddle with other alarmists inside an echo chamber, attacking messengers who arrive, but spends no time to carefully inspect the data that forms his opinion, nor to notice the reporting of fraud – Burt Rutan-2009

Perhaps our good sociologists are scientists who know better and can make more compelling arguments with data to support it than Burt Rutan?

Well, done John. I note a tad bit of irony today, being as how the solar storm reaching us is perhaps the epitome of “solar variability”–maybe the EM pulse will erase some of those inconvenient emails aka Climate Gate 1-3. 😉
