Look what they are doing to the Irish folks! 😀 A brand new “household tax” of 100 euros for just being alive. 😀 Sounds alot like Obamacare, eh??? Only a handful of the common Irish folks are openly protesting. What the hell happened to the days of the IRA??? You see, the banksters can make horrible lending decisions over which ordinary people had NO CONTROL whatsoever and now they are forced to pay through the nose for it. But the banksters can keep all the profits from their good decisions. How’s that for a fair and just society? So they are able to shift their responsibility for the BAD decisions but are allowed to pocket their profits from their GOOD decisions. Sound familiar???

This crap is eventually coming to a theater near you. Be prepared for it.

DiFi has never sat on any financial committee in congress yet authored a bill to bail out the FDIC before her hubby was appointed to help manage foreclosures for the agency. No investigation. Babs Boxer was the chair on the Senate Ethic Committee at the time. The old Bat is probably worth a hundred million or more. Why would she care if you can’t pay your water bill?

Regarding Twain, I will offer this: In one of his essays he compared the complete age of the universe to the height of the Eiffel Tower, and the history of the human race to the thickness of the paint on top of the flagpole on top of the tower. Thinking that we humans are the end point and climax of creation is rather like thinking that the Eiffel Tower exists for the sake of that layer of paint, according to Twain.

Indeed. Maybe it’s time to think a little more broadly and a little longer-term about what is ultimately sustainable. Not just for this generation, but for the next three. Or five. Or fifty.
