Funny that the federal government is working with many states, to include California, to widely expand gambling casinos and feed gambling addictions of those who have responsibilities to house, feed and clothe their children. Naturally those gambling houses will provide lots of tax money to the state and federal governments. Government promotes addictions that they benefit from even if the children suffer. Political contributions from the gambling industry has skyrocketed in the last couple years.

See how your system works?

I don't smoke but if I did I wouldn't buy my cigs in California. Anybody with an IQ above room temperature must see what direction they're moving in. First it was dirty looks in restaurants. Then it was smoking tables in restaurants. Then it was smoking areas in restaurants. Then it was no smoking in restaurants. Then it was no smoking in bars. Then it was no smoking in public parks or beaches. Then it was no smoking with a kid in the car. Some condo owners associations have prohibited people from smoking in their own homes. I understand some cities have outlawed smoking inside their legal boundaries. I predict in 20 years tobacco will be a Class 1 controlled substance with no known medicinal use and those who traffic in it or are found in possession of tobacco for distribution/sale will be subject to asset forfeiture laws. Those are the laws that say you are presumed guilty and you must prove your innocence to get your seized assets back. Go ahead and laugh. I bet you laughed way back when at the time you were told that the government would eventually approve legislation denying american citizens due process or legal representation following arrest. They did it: NDAA.
