My husband Bob is currently Mayor of Corte Madera and I am very proud of their work in this town to stand up for its citizens. Everyone keeps calling him “brave” which is a little unnerving. Why brave? Is he in danger? But the only real danger is that this volunteer job (yes, it’s a volunteer 30 hr week “job”) is going to swallow him alive and take our real estate business with it! Finally, a City (just about the same size as the City I live in) says NO. I have been speaking at my local City Council for years about the “PONZI” that the State has “forced” upon citizens in California. Growth in population has more than one side. More growth and less open space creates more “green house” gases, more waste, more pollution to waterways, and worst of all LESS opportunity for the next generation, other than more taxes, more dependence on government “handouts”, and finally, less business due to regulations, taxes, and mandates. EVERYONE NEEDS TO LOOK AT WHO THEY ARE VOTING FOR THIS YEAR, especially in California and on the National Level.
ARE YOU DOING BETTER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WILL YOUR CHILDREN BE BETTER THAN YOU ?

It is amazing how these shadow governments weild such power in the state. They were supposed to look out for the common interest and have become authoritarian in nature now you know why John Moorlach’s call for combining cities has fallen on deaf ears in Orange County.

Read about Lucasfilm giving up after government delays and NIMBYs against his expansion in Marin. So now the do gooders are driving every business out of the state, not just manufacturing jobs.

He sold the land to a low income housing developer. Take that, Marin!
