Love ya, John. But you’ve living in an idealistic nirvana just like the liberals. We have to set realistic goals. I liked Lennon too but his philosophical pie-in-the-sky babble in “Imagine” are simply not meant for this world. We human beings just aren’t genetically designed that way. It’s like expecting a cat to bark. It ain’t going to happen. You’ll just end up disappointed. Let’s set practical goals. Ones that can actually get achieved. That’s where it’s at!

That’s the nature of humankind, John. Man continues building bigger buildings and bigger airplanes and bigger freeways to accomodate bigger cars. Put 9 million people in a densely packed geographic area and you have instant complexity. If you want to change that you are going to have to kill off half the population. Reproduction = Complexity.

My only argument here is that we must live within our means and pay for services with today’s dollars. Not tomorrow’s dollars. And that the people should be the final arbiters of what programs we fund and how much we give. If they want to maintain what we presently have – then all must pay more in taxes. If not, the tax rates go down.

It’s that easy. Not complex at all.

Why would he write a protest song against taxes? The IRS had him dead to rights for $16M or more. heh. Would you bite the hand of your master when he held a hammer over your head?

I am surprised that the IRS didn’t force him to compose a tune called “Mama, don’t let your children grow up to be tax cheats”.

Willie is one of the biggest liberals on the planet. For God sakes – why all the accolades on a conservative web site?

Does it mean that much to you if a man can carry a tune or dance?

The Hollywood appeal in this country is beyond absurd.

As far as celebrities go – most are no different than politicians or crony capitalists. When they get into a jam they expect special favors and/or bailouts. They expect others to pay for their mistakes. They don’t want to take it on the chin like JoeSixPack. That’s BS. And people who are star struck and in awe of these leeches need to open their eyes.
