I do support Farm Sanctuary and other orgs that promote humane farming, of course. But let’s look at humane killing on farms: how often does the USDA actually investigate farms?? Agribusiness is HUGE!! They pay the USDA wages! In addition, I would think CalWatchDog readers would care about how many SUBSIDIES farmers get NOT to grow anything, or even to grow corn, which causes so many problems for every living thing!! Back on topic, there is no one overseeing how most animals are killed, but does being dipped in electric water sound painless to you???

DFW is under the USDA. They kill over 3 million wildlife EVERY year. They have nothing to do with farms.

But I suggest you and a few friends paint some signs and protest in the many beef and pork slaughterhouses. Why do ducks get priority with you?? Because they have feathers and are cute??? Just curious??

In several cities throughout So. California the Councils are banning pet sales from retail stores. The claim is that the puppies sold there come from abusive puppy mills. So the retail stores that make a living by selling dogs and cats must relocate at the end of their lease at huge expense to the business owners. Of course, the Councils have NO PROOF that the targeted stores get their puppies from abusive puppy mills. Of course, the Councils don’t actually target abusive puppy mills directly either. They go after innocent STORE OWNERS!!! These communist-like council members are destroying the free enterprise system and targeting innocents in the process!!! Naturally the breeders selling dogs/cats in the related cities will have to get approved by the councils and city overlords. You don’t think their friends and relatives will form an oligopoly?? HAH! 😀
