stevefromsacto; The Repubs have been cut out of any legislative influence for decades. Just like a Dem to obfucate the discussion. Even under the last Rep Governator, the Dems controlled the state and blocked every effort to reform.
Now, it appears that the ninth largest economy in the world is controlled and operated by just three individuals; No legislature, no body of the people. Just Three Kings. And they are bought, paid for and controlled by the public employee unions. The Republicans have nothing to do with the condition of this state. It’s got Democrat all over it and someday, the peeps are going to see what voting D has brought them.

stevefromsacto, the only way this state is going to be saved is by cutting the Pay, benefits, perks, and pensions of the RAGWUS feeders. My proposel: Cut pay across the board for every RAGWUS member in the state 30%, with no RAGWUS member recieving over $90,000 a year; cut benefits 50% unless the RAGWUS member decides to pay more for coverage; Remove all perks including vacation banking, sick days, and personal days; Cut all pensions to no more than $50,000 a year, no COLA’s, no spiking either past or present period.

This is the only way to bring California back from certain death. 🙂

When the Republicans decided to pledge allegiance to Grover Norquist instead of the people of California and signed the inflexible no taxes pledge, they signaled that they had no intention of working with the Democrats to help solve our budget problems. So they have no right to complain now when they are left out of the budget process.
