Of course, who else ? California government model is designed to necessitate the paying of lawyers, advisors, and other (No Value Added) people who do nothing to benefit a transaction. Most of these people begin by giving campaign donations to politicians to mandate their unneeded assistance. As this professional class expands, costs, regulations, inefficiency expands with it. I have seen building permits in California take years. I love all the so called commissions and legal fees associated with this process.

Why else would consumers pay almost double for their products? Without GMO food we cannot produce enough food to feed the world.
