We ae BK on the state level, have been for 10 years, and probably 90% on every muni level, the gov just doesn’t know it or cannot understand it.

The Day of Reckoning may come when even pension reforms are not enough to avoid shutting most of government down to pay for pensions. With Cap and Trade acting as a sort of speed regulator on the car of the economy there may not be enough economic growth to pay for pensions. And if there is more middle class flight then what? California’s answer is to tax people who have anything to do with California but live in other states. That will sink the economy further as free trade is hampered.

It is nice to see that the Districts above acted responsible with the dollars doled out, but Nothing is going to save the schools if changes are not made to the cost of pensions in this state. 🙂
