Brown: We’ll be ready for pension reform in 2105

Steven Greenhut: California Democrats insist that they really are interested in pension reform, it’s just that there are many other more important things to handle before they get to it. For instance, they are busy doubling fines for cock fighting, banning foie gras and giving trial lawyers more power to sue banks. So you can see why there is so little time for pension reform. As the Associated Press reported, “The governor asked Tuesday for more time to negotiate public pension reform with state lawmakers, saying such a complex issue can’t be resolved before lawmakers begin a monthlong recess at the end of the week.” I figure he will be ready for reform in the 22nd century.
