Oh Teddy Steals, why must I spank you so badly ;)

Dork teddy if one looks back over a sufficiently long term of say 5-10 years it is an ugly sigth. The CalTURDS return over the last 20 years is 7.73 percent a year. But over the past 10 years the plan earned 6.14 percent, a full one percent below the plan’s “benchmark”....Hahhahahahahaa.... the adopted standard of performance for the plan! Over the last 5 years the plan has earned — ready Teddy (you'r not ready buddy)? — 0.10 percent. And that includes a three-year span where the plan made MORE than 10 percent.

BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Hondo:

I never vote for tax increases because the money is never spent on what the politicians claimed the tax increases were for to begin with. The money invariably makes its way into the general fund and spent at the discretion of the politicians.

I can all but guarantee you that if the tax measures on the November ballot are passed, they will be back in one or two years asking for another tax increase. A quick check of the history of tax increases over the last 10 -15 years will bare this out.

The bottom line: the more they tax the more they spent. The more they spend, the more they need to increase taxes to sustain the new levels of spending.

We the citizens of the state of California are the enablers because we fall for the inane sob stories of why they need to increase taxes. It won't end until the government taxes away the lions share of our income and there's now assures that they will stop there either.

The power to tax is the power enslave and/or destroy.

Looks like Fresno is next on the BK list. I find it strange how the RAGWUS feeders fail to see the results of their tax feeding frenzy. It's really too bad, they will suffer because of their own greed and stupidity. :)
