2. John, you know darn well that people can find justification for pretty much anything somewhere in the Bible, but that doesn’t make it true or right. For example, slaveholders and segregationists have used the Bible to support their views on racial separation and discrimination.

By the way, I always ask my religious friends to show me one place where Jesus condemns homosexuals. Not other people, or not proclamations from “God”, but Jesus himself. They immediately change the subject.

3. John, if you end government control of marriage, that should mean that anyone is free to marry, right? Or are you just proposing religious control of marriage instead. That’s not very libertarian of you.

I don’t know that as a fact and neither do you. Your opinion is based on perception which is based on left-wing propaganda that dominates the media. Your objectivity on the matter is suspect because you can not provide any conclusive evidence to support you assertion other than your personal opinion and innuendo.

But let’s not belabor the point. America is still a free country and people have a right to their opinions based on their religious beliefs whether you or I like it or not. The left wing hasn’t taken away that freedom -yet.

For the record: I’m as far right as one can get yet I have little use for bible thumpers. They mean well but their lack of objectivity is at best frustrating and at worst, ridiculous and laughable. I assure you that none of my conservative colleagues and associates are so-called “bible thumpers”.
