The black commmunity as a whole have let down gays. I don’t care what two people do between themselves as long as it isnot hurting them or anyone lese………The relgious community, especially black, is against gays, there are bigger isues much more important to fight over……like GED cops making more than private sector MD’s……

I’m a member of both the African American community and the GLBTQ community. I think the pastors should be clear about what portion of the community they speak for because the DNC’s decision does not fly in my face, I appreciate it. In 2008, conservatives used tactics to divide the GLBTQ and the Black community…let’s move forward for all Americans. If you don’t like something let it go and just support your neighbors. In the end wall all want equal rights and opportunities for our families to grow and develop.

Well said jimmydeeoc – this isn’t just an issue about religious freedom or even free speech; people are fed up with government intervention. I think we will see big changes in November because of it.

While I personally voted against Prop 8 and am not opposed to gay marriage, I was happy to see aerial photos of cars lined up around the block at various Chick-Fil-A’s. (We didn’t start this fight, but……)

I think this is the part where Samuel L Jackson comes in…..lol
