Ulysses – your argument is purely emotional. Attacking employers is the very worst thing to do, since all you are doing is encouraging and approving more government intervention. And the government do get anything right.

You can thank the government for forcing manufacturers to take their companies overseas. Government has squeezed manufacturers so tightly through regulations and taxes, if they made 1 percent profit it was a good year. Without profit, manufacturers can’t invest back in the company, equipment, or pay benefits, bonuses, etc.

Perhaps, if you ate mashed potatoes for dinner as a kid during WW2, or your family job was to look for ration coupons on grocery store floors, or your repeatedly was told at all levels of your education you will never make it….you have the wrong name… …..you would have a tender spot for struggling citizens begging for fairness.

Ulysses: the free market would weed out the bad employers if government wasn’t involved on so many levels, and “leveling the playing field,” as Democrats love to legislate.

Supply and demand doesn’t mean fairness–it does mean that people go where the jobs are. It’s not an employer’s responsibility to feed a man’s family. Employers do however, pay high or low wages based on supply and demand. Today, the demand is being squelched and regulated by the government instead of the free market.

Donkey common good is inclusive…for far to long we have too many second class citizens….a caste system or serf system…perpetual underclass.

Globalism is a bummer for minorities; manufacturing jobs with benefits are caput. AND you try and feed a family on a low ender service job.

There is no race baiting only the stark reality many humans are treated badly by capitalists.

This is insane…..state agency CARB is going to fine state agency UC and state agency CSU. On the other hand – State Parks must be sitting pretty….don’t they get to count all those thousands of acres of forest as offsets?

If this entire AB32 charade were simply some amusing computer game scenario, a “green” version of Dungeons and Dragons played on campus by neo-hippie Environmental Studies majors it would be amusing.

Guess what. It’s not amusing.

And therein lies the problem, Queeger. Everyone know the vast majority of spending in our sunny dystopia does not come anywhere close to meeting that definition.

It is shunted off to protected classes, siphoned to buy votes, and placate a huge underclass. Roads and bridges….that noble “common good”….get the leftover table scraps.

Our priorities are completely FUBAR. Thanks, 40+ years of Democratic legislative control!
