We have the largest prison population of any nation on earth. With only 5% of the worlds population we have over 25% of the worlds prisoners, and when you add in provation and parole the percentage clims to 55%, in short, we have an American Gulag. 🙂

Regarding the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans in concentration camps, my own father defended the policy all his life though he hated Roosevelt with a purple passion. Racism and mass paranoia was rampant in California at the time so the policy was popular. I wonder how many current Roosevelt worshippers even know about this policy? Teddy, Queegy, Skippy, Uhaul, anyone care to justify this execrable act of tyranny by your great liberal icon. Maybe “Uncle” Joe Stalin gave him the idea. They were quite warm friends from what I understand.
