One of John Stewarts redeeming features is his ability to make fun of his own party. Too bad he describes himself as basically a socialist. Not surprisingly, both parties conventions are stuffed full of special interest pleaders and partisan drones. Anyone who watches these conventions is either masochistic or hopelessly naive. I can’t stomach them myself. If everyone who attended a national political convention were summarily expelled from the country how could we not be better off?
