In reply to Teachermatti. You're correct. The teachers are still making a basic salary. School administrators were and are still making executive salaries with increases every year. It's likely the rest of the money is going back to support more raises for the salaries, expense, and other accounts of government officials.

Ha!!! What a lie!!! I can tell you this….I’ve been teaching for 16 years and never ONCE have I been sent to a workshop let alone a “convention”!!! I’ve been to discipline trainings….THAT I PERSONALLY WROTE A CHEXK AND DPAID FOR. I’ve purchased all of the pencils, construction paper and evey other “extra” item I’ve needed for my classroom. My computer lab is 8 years old…..I’m operating on windows 2000!!! Our school got rebuilt 8 years ago….with a BOND that was passed….that our KIDS will be paying for!! If our schools are receiving money I sure as hell don’t see it….it must be being used for all the fat salaries at the top of the system!! We don’t need all the superintendents, principals, and wasteful administrators at the top!! We need highly qualified teachers and classroom supplies!! All these bullshitters can TELL you teachers are receiving this money but that’s a little….just ask any teacher they will tell you!!

In reply to Rex the Wonder Dog!. Do a little fact checking via Code Section 8880.5. It states that any lottery funds received by schools are above and beyond traditional budgets. Any increase in lottery monies shall not result in a decrease in the annual budget. All you are adding is gossip, poorly researched sound bites. Do your homework folks.
