They had a huge tax increase last year only to see huge deficits, again, this year. Even Rhambo says the problem was the idiotic public union pensions. Illinois is the classic case of why higher taxes don’t bring in more revenue.
Kalifornia raised taxes in 09 only to see huge deficits the next year. And the next, and the next, and the next. When your taxes are too high to begin with, raising them more doesn’t bring in more money. Job producers simply go to the lower tax states. With Illinois, it turned out to be Indiana, Wisconsin, ect…
