That’s the problem with the whole argument about millionaires needing to pay more taxes. Politicians don’t differentiate between a Hollywood millionaire and a small business millionaire.

In their minds a millionaire is a millionaire period. The only look at gross income and disregard net income. And they forget or don’t understand the maxim that businesses don’t pay taxes; they pass it on to the consumer. The fact that small businesses, and the consumers, get hurt by higher taxes is irrelevant to them. In my humble opinion, that’s the problem with life long politicians. They understand politics and nothing much of anything else.

Perhaps if more politicians had some experience with signing the front of a paycheck instead of the back of a paycheck, they would be more sympathetic to the small business owners who are the ostensible “millionaires” the politicians want to stick it too.

Hondo is on it. You hit it right on the head. At this rate, I will hit the first tier tax rate and have to pay an additional 1% tax increaase because my payroll high enough to hurt me. 4 employees and I will get nailed.
