What do you suppose would happen if there were no carbon in the atmosphere? I already know the answer but for the benefit of others in this forum, let's hear you explanation.

Diesel Rocks:

Leave to helicopter Ben and the boys at the Fed, they will have to run out of trees before they stop printing money.

What's most unfortunate and tragic about it is that most Americans don't have a clue about the consequences of printing all that money. The lessons of the Weimar Republic have been long forgotten.

Rex:

Don't forget that the funding for scientific research that has no intrinsic value in the real world comes from government grants and funding. All scientific research that has utility in the real world is largely funded by private industry with the government's role being tertiary at best.

Climate research, like economics. political science, etc., is pseudo-science with no repeatable inviolable facts to back it up. Science is not consensus: it is incontrovertible and indisputable facts that are easily and readily proven beyond any shadow of a doubt.

Thousands of years ago, scientific consensus said the the earth was the center of the universe, the sun was a giant lump of coal and all the elements in nature were made of earth wind and fire. Hundreds of years ago, scientific consensus said that universe was filled with aether, combustible bodies burned because they were filled with a substance called phlogiston and the earth was at most 20 - 40 millions years old. One hundred years ago, scientific consensus said that the universe was static and Albert Einstein's general relativity was wrong. In every case they were eventually proven wrong. Anthropomorphic global warming will eventually go the same way.

The bottom line is that climate scientists need to "scare up" funding to sustain themselves and their research. Without such funding, they would have to get a real job in the real world.

Sandy was caused by AGW so send me more money to assuage your complicity with the problems you have caused..

Al Gore is a snake oil salesmen who figured out a way to have scientifically illiterate people buy the elixir he is selling.

Teddy please educate yourself with some real science and step away from the propaganda tray.
