The collective taxes in California are just ridiculous. They are simply flushing otherwise productive money down the drain and voting for these tax increases just reinforces this behavior. In San Francisco, for example, $250,000 for a family is just not enough, especially considering sales taxes around 10%, state income tax well over 10%, property taxes of at least 5-10% per year for homes here (yes, another 10%, a $1.5M 2 bedroom condo has taxes of $15,000), and that is before all of the other special taxes imposed by the city and state and federal income taxes likely to be pushing 40%. Are you kidding me? Why not push the collective rates to 110%. That would work even better.

California is run by the slumlord class, and they will escape higher taxes with their lawyers and loopholes while making poorer working people lose their power and incomes.

In the end, it will all come crashing down.

You'd have to be crazy to live in California.

Let the slumlords live with their indoctrinated servants and pothead tune outs, and when those servants can't get the pennies thrown at them by the slumlords to mollify them, they will turn on the slumlords.

Don't let them get your family and kids.

I am being as gentle as possible, under the circumstances, Rex. If Prop. 30, had passed, you would be howling and yelping, non-stop. Not even to mention, what you wanted to see happen to your CA cohorts, via Prop. 32.

I have family in Texas, Barb. Would never intend to cause it harm--but turn-about is fair play, in the game of political slings and arrows, don't you think.

None of you are at fault, concerning the money that is now flowing into the political process, unless you are connected with the SCOTUS members who have caused the decision that has made the mockery that the political process now is. A local member of our community, who has been in the CA legislature, has defeated a long-time incumbent, for a Congressional seat, through the generosity of a 2.3 million dollar gift from Bloomberg, during the final week of the campaign. I would take my vote right back, if I had known--it is, WRONG!!!

barb says,
So go ahead, make fun of Texas and Governor Perry.
===========================
OK!!! You got it barb..
Texas has the Worst humidity and dew point. Yes it is true. Houston/bay area is tied with annual averages for the worst humidity and dew point in the
united states per NOAA. In a nutshell, it's like a sauna. a constant
sauna for 7 months out of the year. what's even better, is there are
no seasons! But they do have Hurricanes!! you got it, more tax dollars go to natural disasters like hurricanes in tx. nothing like every hurricane season
fearing the wrath of god upon your family and home. And how about them Tornadoes? This must have to do with the fact that tx leads the
nation in the amount of trailor homes as a percentage of all homes.
the good thing is, tx is flat and has nothing around for 100's of
miles. So, not many people should get hurt except those who ask for
it. you know, texans! LOL. Texas as a state ranks in the top 5 of all states for all major pollutants. Go figure! The EPA says you can't breathe the air for fear of carcinogens, can't drink the water for fear of toxins, can't eat
the seafood for fear of mercury poisoning, and the Taiwanese plants
spill high levels of run-off into the neighborhoods!! when you
visit tx, you get the full impact of what a cesspool they've made out
of their state with factories, oil refineries, and chemical plants.
Don't get me wrong, it is good somebody is manufacturing this stuff
out there, but, man, you've got to be CRAZY to live amongst the stench-filled, chemical run-off, heat-fest that is TEXAS!!!!!!!
