BTW I do NOT agree with the ex pocts fact clause only appliying to criminal law, it should be applied oi civil law also. But then the ov scams would not work, like Prop 30.

Judges are APPOINTED, and they get appointed for a reason, and that reason is NOT legal scholarship or merit, but ideology.

Jeeezzz, look at Clarence Thomas, he has no business sitting on the SCOTUS…….I would hesitate to even put him in as a CA Commissioner hearing traffic cases…he is that bad.

The U.S. Constitution explicitly bans “ex post facto” laws, which are laws that affect actions from before the law was enacted.

The ex post facto law clause only applies to criminal laws, not civil.
