StevefromSacto: The first article read, "The raw number of high-tech jobs in the Inland Empire is still small: There are 5,267 high-tech jobs in San Bernardino County, spread out among 310 companies, according to the California Employment Development Department."

Otherwise, San Berdoo's economy has been so bad the city declared bankruptcy.

More "sky is falling" drivel.

Perhaps the Lapdog supporters who are rooting for Texas and against California can explain this: Report: Inland Empire the second-fastest growing region for high-tech jobs.

Often stereotyped, California is a case study of why real-world liberalism screws you in the end. The state is nearly bankrupt from 30 years of mismanagement by a legislature more interested in appeasing special-interest groups than actually running the damn state, and makred by high taxes, insane cost of living, and a political system slightly more pleasing than a bucket of manure. The complete cluelessness of the general public ensures that the process will continue ad nauseum, until all the people with any sense (and money) leave and California becomes known as the one state poorer and more ridiculed than Alabama.

Great information as far as it goes... However last I heard CA has some pretty steep annual business fees such as the minimum $800 dollar annual Corp fee that i understand applies to all business entities. Did they cancel that, there had been talk ? What are the annual fees for a Texas business?

How about insurance? Workers Comp of course comes into play, how about Liability and homeowners insurance - California is close to the top of that pricing list also is it not?

Then of course there is the cost of energy. How does that compare? California again is high up on that price list and with the new energy programs going into place and green production requirements that price is going to sky rocket from what I can see.

But above all the financial aspects there is a cultural aspect and attitude from the self entitled government employees that have a disdain towards free market business people.

At least that is the way I see it and a big part of why I moved out. There is an anti small business arrogance in Northern California that has fermented an extreme crony capitalism infrastructure.
