While I agree that the illegal detention of foreign nationals is a worthy topic, the larger issue is the LASD’s systemic abuse of ALL INMATES. The problem is financial. We refuse to demand quality applicants for employment by this department and equally refuse to offer compensation that will attract intelligent, educated, civilized human beings. There is little or no psychological screening and we end up with deputies that are hostile, violent, sadistic, crazy or were too lazy or too stupid to work in sanitation (which pays more).

“Unlike warrants, [immigration holds] are issued without any judicial determination of probable cause, and are frequently issued in error,” said the ACLU in a press statement. “About 2,100 inmates each day — or 14 percent of the daily jail population — have ICE holds lodged against them in the L.A. County jails. On average, they spend nearly three weeks longer in jail than inmates without immigration holds, despite being better candidates for release or other diversion programs.”
I agree 100% with the ACLU.

A long time ago I used to respect Colin Powell. But after a racist endorsement of the black messiah and now an admission that he hires so many illegal alien criminals they are running all over his house, I realize he is nothing but another clueless progressive. What an imbecile. Oh btw Colin, there are no illegal alien criminals at my house because I comply with the law and hire American citizens or legal immigrants.

I have run into a number of people from Central America who have told me about their medical trips to the United States, and that of their relatives or children. These are lengthly hospital stays. I am talking about months to years in the hospital on the public dollar. When someone shows up at a hospital, and they don’t speak English, and they have no ID proving their citizenship, they need to be shown the door, pronto! These are not poor people, either. They’re not dumb people, either. I am talking about property owners who have figured out it would be better for them to invest in one of their children’s medical careers, while they themselves receive free medical care in the USA, which means they have money available for their kid’s education. If they were a US citizen, they’d have to turn over every damn dime they had to the medical establishment. What the hell is wrong with this picture?
