Did anyone notice the sleight of hand he used in comparing guns to cars. This is commonly done by gun prohibitionists to confuse and mislead the uninformed. GUNS ARE NOT LIKE CARS. The right to keep and bear arms was thought so important and fundamental a civil right that it was incorporated into the U.S. Constitution at it’s ratification. Nothing in that document about cars though.

Gun ownership is a fundamental civil right, operating a motor vehicle on public streets is not. By the way, you don’t need insurance or a drivers license to own a car (ask any illegal alien), just to operate one on public roads. Perata is as gleefully ignorant as you would expect a Demogoguecrat politician to be in Crazyfornia.

His claim that gun owners can be lawfully required to purchase a million dollar insurance policy is pathetic, stupid and ridiculous on it’s face. Would he make such a suggestion regarding the exercise of any other civil right? Of course not. Since he admits to carrying a concealed weapon I wonder if he has voluntarily obtained such an insurance policy. Bet not! And why does he get a concealed carry permit when law abiding citizens in most areas of this state cannot get one under any circumstance? Oh, I forgot, he’s a member of “The Club”. You know, the ruling elite who are “more equal” than the rest of us.

How telling that he was given a platform to spew his fatuous and ignorant nonsense about our civil rights. Once again the Demogoguecrats show what a pack of repugnant, deceptive and ruthless thugs they are. They can produce as many dog and pony shows as they like but they will still lose in the end.
