In 1990 our percentage of HIGH SCHOOL graduates ranked 29th out of 50 states + DC…80.2%.

In 2009 our percentage of HIGH SCHOOL graduates ranked 49th!!!!!!! (80.6%)

True. That’s been the case for decades. But the trend is not our friend.

In 1990, 23.4% of California residents had a college degree. That ranked 10th among all states.

In 2009, 29.9% of California residents had a college degree. That ranked 15th among all states.

Other states are getting relatively smarter. We are getting relatively more stupid.

Fail.
