I’ve lived in CA since 1999 and it has taken me 14 long A$$ years to convince my native CA wife to move to TX where I am originally from. I think it’s funny how CA’ns are trying to sway from the fact that their state is BANKRUPT and it’s all because of their greedy tree hugging save the whales government. Had CA’ns of worried more on their economy than the migration of whales, paid attention to the mass influx of illegals having anchor babies, and most of all extracted its own natural resources, their economy would have flurished!

I grew up in Nebraska, if you move to Texas, wait until you have to experience your first dozen or so tornadoes, something California does not have to deal with. I’d rather have one earthquake every 20 years than 20 tornadoes every year. If Perry thinks his state is so great, then why is it turning purple? Wait until it flips into a blue state, then Texas can begin to compete with California, until then, enjoy your low-wage, non-insured jobs Lone Star residents.

But you still pay the high state marginal income tax for the middle-class of 9.3 percent. Texas has no state income tax.

Fresno has 13.5 percent unemployment, so it’s hard to get a job:

No Jimmy but I’ve been there–stayed there. I have family there. Driving across the state is hours and hours of flat nothingness. Driving across CA is seeing different kinds of topography along the way. Services are not so good in Texas and you get sick if you go in summertime, due to the smothering humidity, unless you stay indoors with ACm 24/7. CA is mangificent! Texas is bland.

Please move to Texas, with its low income jobs, high sales taxes, lousy health care, etc., etc. Don’t let the screen door hit you in the butt on your way out.

I live in the Central Valley and Fresno sucks and doesn’t have a leg to stand on. I’m from TEXAS and you can’t compare California and Texas. As long as California is liberal fantasy land California will suck also. It wont matter where you live….

The Fresno Bee.

I could almost understand the smugness if it came Newport Beach’s Daily Pilot, the Santa Barbara News-Press, or Marin’s Independent Journal…….

But FRESNO? By any measure, the Central Valley remains stuck in deep, deep economic depression…….and Fresno County is just about ground zero. Its socio-economic metrics are abysmal…..How abysmal? Worse than Mississippi abysmal.

Fresno and your Bee – you do NOT have a leg to stand on in this spat. I would quietly retreat if I were you.
